Hubby was getting ready to bush-hog the field so I got on my boots and went out to see if there was anything I might want before he mowed it down. I did find some red clover and brought that into the house to dry. Then I went on out to the strawberry patch and got that all weeded. I had put straw down around the plants and let me tell you, that was the way to go!! The weeds come up so easy and it makes the job almost enjoyable. By that time it was lunch time and Hubby was still mowing so I went on into the house to rest and fix some leftovers for my lunch. Now to the red raspberries.

Raspberries done!!! Whew! Then I went out to the herb garden and started hoeing. I finally had to stop and rest. So far - so good. The old back is doing fine. Maybe giving it a break really did help. There's an awful lot of weeds to hoe but at least I'm not hurting. I also don't want to forget to spray the grapes. They are really hurting this year but I'm going to keep spraying. I'm trying to look at the big picture! I may not have grapes this year but with a regimen of spraying perhaps next year or the next I'll have things under control.
