I did my thing this morning with the chickens. I put 4 half-gallon ice jugs in the chicken coop and 1 juice bottle of ice in the waterer. Then I went out in the field and pulled some damp clover and threw it in the pen. Oh my, they loved that!!
Since my chickens have been producing I've had wonderful eggs but right now I'm sitting on 3-1/2 dozen so I'm going to give away 1-1/2 dozen to my neighbor, because she graciously watches over my chickens when I'm gone, a dozen will go into an egg casserole for the freezer, and I'll be left with a dozen for good measure. There are 3 things I constantly run out of when I'm baking - butter, milk and eggs. I keep evaporated milk in case of emergencies and now I've got chickens for eggs. Butter would require a cow, huh? I don't think so!!
About 10:00 a.m. I got hungry and I had a piece of leftover pizza. I told you - I love pizza!
Then I got busy making 2 more shrubs. I'm making a blackberry/lemon verbena shrub and a blueberry/lavender & cinnamon shrub. So fine-so fine! Lucky me the squirrels haven't eaten my lemon verbena yet!!(Arghh!) Hubby sat out in the gazebo in my herb garden yesterday for a couple hours. I believe my exact words were, "Get 'em"!!!
