Hubby and I were going to one of the larger towns in our area and try to finish up our Christmas shopping today if the weather was decent. I almost feel sorry for him. I try to make him go shopping with me at least once during the holiday season just to get him in the spirit of things. It's so fun for me but for him it's absolute misery. That he's willing to do it once without too much complaining for me is a real gift . . . so I told him this morning why didn't we just shop around here and if we couldn't get it all I would finish the rest of the shopping this coming week on my own. I could tell he was relieved. I think it must be a "man thing". What is it about shopping that men don't like? I'm not even a big major shopping person. I like to get in, shop for exactly what I want, and get out; but I admit I love the hustle and bustle of the season while he simply detests it. He's not a scrooge and he loves to get things for his family and especially his granddaughters but he HATES to shop in big stores where there are loads of people. Like I said, must be a "man thing".

We went shopping and there were not hordes of people and hubby said he actually almost enjoyed himself and at least he didn't get mad (mind you he does not like rudeness in people) and on top of that invited me to lunch at the local Chinese Restaurant. Can't beat that, huh!!
The nice part is we just about finished up all our Christmas shopping and a great weight was lifted off my shoulders. Things are looking a good deal more handle-able (is that a word?)!! Now I can truly concentrate on baking!!!
