I then started laundry and while the first load washed I went to the vegetable garden and picked almost all of the rest of the Winter Squash. I only have about 3 or 4 butternut squash, one pumpkin, and a couple spaghetti squash not yet ripe. I picked a few peppers and a handful of tomatoes and brought them all into the house.
It's been 2 weeks since I started my homemade apple cider vinegar so I needed to strain out the apple peelings and cores, then put it back in a glass jar, cover it and now I'll let it sit for a minimum of 2 to 4 weeks. Then I'll be checking for strength (to taste) and bottle it up. This has been an exciting process but heavens - it's the first time I've tried it so the results are still up in the air. So far - so good though.

This evening my plans are to pick the pink-eyed purple hulled peas and get them shelled. I'll let them soak in water overnight and tomorrow I'll can those babies up.
